英語六級語法用法辨析之at heart和by heart的區(qū)別

At heart 的意思是“在心里”、“心底里”或“本質上”(from theheart，from the bottom of one's heart or essentially)。byheart 的意思是“背誦”、“熟記”(by rote;to learn so well thatone can remember it perfectly)。請看下面例句：

That socialite is a rascal at heart.

那個知名人士實質上是個壞蛋。

A councillor should have the collective interest of society at heart.

議員應當關心大眾的利益。

At heart，Mr.Lin does not approve your proposal.

林先生的心里并不贊同你的建議。

Mr.Wang looks stem，but he is kind at heart.

王先生看來嚴肅，但買質上他很仁慈。

英語六級語法用法辨析之介詞about, around, round用法

1. 表示“在……周圍”，三者?？苫Q。如：

They sat about [round, around] the fire. 他們圍火而坐。

注：在現代英語中，about 用于這種情況已不多見。

2. 表示“到處”，三者?？苫Q。如：

He travelled about [round, around] the world. 他周游了全世界。

3. 用在數字之前表示“大約”，一般用 about 或 around。如：

It costs about [around] ten dollars. 它大約要花 10 美元。

There are about [around] 30 bookstores in the city. 這座城里大約有 30 家書店。

注：在英國英語中，在表示時間的詞組里也可用 round。如：

He arrived about [round, around] 5 o'clock. 他是大約5點鐘到的。

I'll be back about [round, around] lunch time. 我午飯前后回來。

4. 表示把某物分給一群人中的每一個時，可用 round 或 around，而不用 about。如：

Will you hand round [around] the papers? 請你把考卷分發(fā)一下，好嗎?

但是通常不說：Will you hand about the papers?
